2013 Performance Diary


26th – Stewart performs alongside Alex Morris (clarinet) and Caroline Hopson (violin) the trio by Peter Schickele, 6pm South Melbourne Town Hall

28th – Stewart performs Bach preludes and fugues and Messiaen ‘Visions of the Amen’ alongside pianists of the academy


11th – Stewart performs Barber’s ‘Hermit songs’ with soprano Greta Bradman. 7pm, South Melbourne Town Hall

21st – Stewart and Justin perform alongside Matthew Laing (viola) the Kegelstatt trio and pieces by Rzewski, Ives and Tchaikovsky at the St Silas Church ‘Music on Sundays’ Series. St Silas Church, Albert Park


5th (11.15am) – Ian Hanger Recital Hall, Brisbane

Stewart performs alongside Justin Beere (clarinet), Matthew Kneale (bassoon), Julie Igglesden (oboe) and Phoebe Smithies (Horn) the Quintet op. 16 by Beethoven. 29th – South Melbourne Town Hall 11.15am  Stewart performs the Martinu Quartet for Oboe, violin, cello and piano with Georgina Roberts (oboe), Anne-Marie Johnson (violin) and Mee na Lojewski (cello). anam.com.au

2nd – Stewart performs Schubert Fantasie for four hands with Timothy Young in a private recital

10th – Stewart performs a Mostly Mozart concert with assorted musicians, including Violin concerto no. 4, selected arias, divertimento and Brahms variations on an original theme

12th –  Stewart performs a solo recital at the Australian National Academy of Music.

14th – Stewart performs excerpts from Bartok’s ‘Dances in Bulgarian Rhythms’ at the 2014 ANAM program launch

15th – Stewart and Justin perform trios and quartets in the ANAM chamber music competition

28th – Stewart performs a recital with mezzo soprano Charlotte Betts-Dean at the Melbourne Savage Club for the Mietta foundation. Songs by Brahms, Liszt, Alma Mahler, Debussy, Hahn, Barber etc


1st – Stewart and Timothy Young join forces for a two piano recital at the Arts Centre Gold Coast for the Mason and Hamlin Concert Series. A program of Dance Music including:

Tchaikovsky Suite from the Nutcracker

Rachmaninov Symphonic Dances

Ravel La Valse
